Exercise

#AtoZChallenge 2024 letter E 

NEWSTART

"E" is for...you guessed it: Exercise. God created our bodies for movement. As stewards of these bodies God gave us, we should do our best to take care of them. Exercising is one important activity we can do to care for our bodies.
These days, there are all kinds of gadgets to remind us to take time for exercise. I have a Fitbit. I have it set to remind me to get 250+ steps each hour, for 8-12 hours. Some days I manage to get all my hours in; most days I don't. 😏

There are also plenty of apps for your phone to help track your exercising.

Of course, walking isn't the only exercise there is. You can swim, ride your bike, run, canoe/kayak, climb a rock wall, use the treadmill, lift weights, etc. 


This was our first (and last, so far) 5K.

  1. Thank you for visiting my A to Z blog. I see you have two blogs in the challenge? I did that one year (one of the blogs is no longer active) and I have great respect for anyone who does that. My favored exercise is walking. Growing up in New York City, a lot of my transportation was walking and it's second nature to me. I've done two 5K walks, both in a senior walking program that hasn't been active since 2020 (the man who ran it retired). I've had an Apple Watch, now, but before that, I used the health tracker on my iPhone. It is configured to my Weight Watchers app, which is convenient. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Thank you for stopping by. I actually have THREE blogs in the challenge. Crazy, right?! My third one is: https://homeschoolblogger.com/grandmumsysmusings/ I can imagine walking would be one of the main modes of transportation in NYC. I lived near the city, decades ago, and the wild driving in the city made an impression on me! I'd choose walking, myself. LOL
